The Green Mountain Horse Association brought Geoffrey Nichols, Principal Broker, to the Woodstock area when he attended the summer pony club program. He came back to attend Middlebury College. He started Woodstock Properties in 1968 and then developed an independent housing complex for the elderly in Woodstock. Geoffrey's greatest satisfaction in business has been his work with three of Vermont's leading non-profit organizations to protect and conserve Vermont Land. Geoffrey and his wife Joan Hagerman Nichols live on a horse farm in Pomfret.
Lynne Bertram is the daughter of the late Bunny Bertram, Dartmouth `31, a well- known ski industry pioneer, and founder of Suicide Six Ski Area. Lynne grew up in the Woodstock area, fully immersed in the world of ski racing. After many years of competitive skiing, teaching skiing and coaching in France, Squaw Valley, CA., Vail, CO. and Pico Peak, Lynne returned to central Vermont and entered the real estate profession. She settled in with her late husband Nelson Lee in North Bridgewater on a farm, where she continues his passion for raising sheep and Scotch Highland cattle.
Geoff Eckler, originally from the Boston area, moved to Woodstock in 1992, after years of weekend commuting. Geoff's professional life also includes 30 years of successful Executive/Technical Search & Placement Consulting. As a volunteer, Geoff has served on the Boards of the Youth Hockey Association, Woodstock Recreation Center and was on the founding board of the Union Arena Community Center, where you will find him on the ice, playing in the local hockey league. He has also devoted several years to serving many positions on the coaching staff of the Woodstock Varsity Hockey team. When he’s not on the ice, you’ll find him enjoying all four seasons of Vermont’s beautiful outdoors with his sons and granddaughter.
